Delivery and collection of Gold bullion

Can I collect my bullion purchase from Guernsey office?

All bullion products are stored at a secure vault at a separate location. Please contact us at least 2 working days in advance of your arrival and we would be pleased to provide you with your bullion and certificate. In order to take possession of your bullion you will be given a pre-supplied password and asked to do the following:

  • Sign a release form as receipt of your delivery
  • Show the original receipt
  • Show photographic i.d. (valid passport/driver’s license) and recent utility bill

Please note that any cash or bullion in excess of €10,000 crossing Guernsey’s borders in either direction must be declared to Guernsey Customs. Forms are available at the airport and sea port.

Can I receive my bullion purchase by post?

Guernsey-Gold offers delivery by registered mail to the UK and Channel Islands or by courier worldwide. Purchases under the value of £2,000 will be sent by registered post and purchases over the value of £2,000 will be sent by courier. Each item is fully insured and inspected before being posted. The cost of delivery will be indicated during the quotation process. Please note that for countries listed on the Business from Sensitive Sources list we cannot conduct financial transactions or send or receive bullion to or from these countries.

We will not sell to purchasers domiciled in and/or make deliveries to: Myanmar, Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, São Tomé, Príncipe, Venezuela, West Africa, Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Cape Verde Islands, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast and Ghana. We reserve the right to refuse, without explanation, to do business with any individual or corporation of our choice.

For both registered post and couriers you will be expected to sign for the delivery. We cannot therefore accept Post Office boxes as an address.
We will declare the contents of the package on the Customs Declaration form.
Please note that from time to time the Channel Islands are subject to fog and weather constraints that can delay the departure of post. There will be a minimum delivery time of 1 week which will be subject to further potential delay if you live outside of Europe.

Can I have my bullion personally delivered?

In rare cases we can deliver bars personally on airport premises in the UK and Switzerland. The orders would need to be of significant magnitude to justify the cost and time of the trip and the customer would be expected to pay an extra fee for this service. Once due diligence has been carried out we would discuss delivery procedures with the customer. Whenever we carry bullion across Guernsey borders we are required by law to make a written declaration if the amount is above €10,000. We must also confirm value of the metal, the identity of the owner and the origin and source of funds.
